• Lightweight, robust magnesium gearbox

  The lightweight magnesium construction material combines the robustness professionals need with lightweight construction. The lightweight head of the pole pruner ensures reduced strain during longer periods of use.

• Robust cast branch hook

  The branch hook helps with positioning as you cut. After making the cut, cuttings can be removed easily using the robust branch hook.

• STIHL professional chain tensioning system

  Lateral chain tensioning prevents hands from coming into contact with the sharp chain and the tips of the claw stop. It also ensures safe and easy chain tensioning. The integrated direction guide on the sprocket cover makes it easier to monitor your direction when positioning and sawing. A captive nut means no risk that the nut will be lost. Lateral chip ejection also reduces the risk of clogging.

• Professional telescopic shaft

  The square tube of the telescopic shaft makes the shaft very rigid when extended, allowing for high-precision cutting..

• Ergonomic quick adjustment

  The length can be easily varied using the ergonomic quick adjustment feature. The quick adjustment feature means you only need a quarter-turn to release the mechanism and change the length, then it can be re-tightened.

• Optimal handling

  A clamp on the telescopic shaft allows for easy tool attachment and quick tool release. It is easy to slide the clamp onto the shaft by hand. This allows the weight distribution and load to be optimally adjusted by the operator when working with the belt and RTS harness. The comfortable handle tube ensures you have a firm grip over the entire gripping area, while the STIHL harness makes your work easier, especially in extended use. Our harnesses offer ample freedom of movement when using the tool. Each model comes with a matching STIHL harness as standard.

• Multi-function handle

  All engine control functions are integrated into the multi-function handle. The power tool is easy and safe to use – the operator’s hand remains on the handle at all times.

• Anti-vibration system

  Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles allowing for more comfortable and safer operation.
